Believe it or not, hate it or love it,but the Daniel Craig Bond movies are
a remake of the original Bond series which started with Sean Connery’s Dr No. Now in this remake which started off with Casino Royal we begin to see Bond as not just an agent but also a man. His rage, his love, his desires, beliefs and moral obligation.
Enter SKYFALL arguably the best Bond movie ever made. According to IMDB (Internet Movie Database),the story line is this; Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
Loyalty being the premise of this movie is what makes it challenging for Bond and extremely intriguing for us. The movie deserves applause for its fantastic dialogue, multidimensional characters, cinematography and a clever cast. Bond’s origins have been a thing of mystery,as no Bond movie ever truly and wholly touched the subject. SKYFALL gives us a clear picture of Bond’s childhood and also makes note of the tragic event that gave birth to Bond The Assassin.
Itching to avoid giving away spoilers I will draw this review to a close by revealing only themes which the movie explores; Loyalty,Honor,Justice, vengeance, retribution and commitment. And with that said it is with great pleasure that I award this film with the score of 8.5/10. A must see indeed.
