It seems to be a week of festival of fire in the Garden City of Port Harcourt as reports of more fire incidents is reported. Another explosion has been said to occur in an Abuloma Jetty. The explosion occurred as a welder was welding an oil barge. He is said to be in a critical condition and as at the moment, no emergency agency has been seen. Also the administrative block of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation, Tide Newspaper was reported to have been engolfed by fire.
The fire which started at early dis afternoon affected a section of the building. The cause of the fire is unknown. Meanwhile, the Joint Military Task Force, JTF has said it set the oil tankers on fire at Eneka. The Army spokesman said the tankers were used for bunkery. He said the tankers were taken to a safe place before it was set ablaze. Some youths in the area who expressed their grievances, said they engaged in bunkery because they could get employment.
